Bredonborough Toyahs birthday A sunny

11.16

Bredonborough.

Toyah's birthday. A sunny morning with present-opening by the back door, in The Olive Grove.

Backtracking --

Monday 17th. May: To the fillims at the Warner Village multi-screen in Worcester, which has changed its name to Vue. This is significant, as any change of name reflects a change in the sense of identity, but I am not sure in which way this is significant. Two or three years ago the Post Office in Britain changed its name to Consignia, indicating that whoever was in charge of the PO had their head placed where sunlight never ventures. Consignia then changed its name back to the Post Office, and currently loses around one million letters a week.

The publicity for Van Helsing, including the powerful music used in the trailer, was a factor in determining our viewing choice. The trailer music for Spiderman II has also persuaded us to see that film, by which time we might have forgotten -- what was that film we saw?

Then a climb to the top of Bredon Hill...
